Boots for the walks where the ground is the problem. Summer pavement that holds the heat, gravel underfoot, sand that works its way between the pads.

The flexible rubber sole does two jobs at once: grip underneath, a barrier in between. A boot only works while it's on the paw, so give each closure a snug-check before you set out.

Will they stay on during a walk?

A boot that slips off mid-walk is the most common complaint in this category, so the closure is the part to get right. These close with a secure, adjustable closure designed to stay put through a full walk. Take a moment to snug each boot before heading out.

My dog walks strangely in them. Is that normal?

Completely normal. Almost every dog does the funny walk at first. Start indoors with short practice sessions and a few treats; most dogs walk naturally after a handful of tries.

When are boots actually useful?

The rubber sole does two jobs: traction on slick or loose surfaces, and a physical barrier between the paw and hot, rough, or gritty ground such as summer pavement, gravel paths, or sandy trails.

What about slipping inside the house?

For smooth floors at home, the Indoor Anti-Slip Dog Socks are the better tool: lighter, softer, and made for indoor wear.
